Nursing Chapter 226

Nursing services are provided to eligible Nonpublic Schools via a contract with their local district and utilizing Nonpublic Nursing State Aid. The ESCNJ employs Registered Nurses to provide services to Nonpublic Schools, including:

Screening of hearing, maintenance of student health records, notification of local and county health officials of any student not properly immunized.

• Scoliosis examinations of students between the ages of 10 and 18.
• The extension of emergency care (nursing office hours), is based on funding.
